The information below details the purpose, method and scope of personal data collection, processing and use on our website. This information relates primarily to the collection, processing and storage of personal data by our web server. Please note that there may be further details for registered users in our terms of use. Personal data is defined as “any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual”. There is data collected, processed and used when you visit our website; we cannot always rule out the possibility of this data being personally identifiable. To ensure that pages can be displayed in your browser, your IP address must be collected and stored. At present, IP addresses are generally assigned dynamically by your provider. These addresses usually change on a regular basis, so we cannot identify an individual from an IP address. Static IP addresses, however, could theoretically be personally identifiable in isolated cases. The following particular set of data is stored for each visit: the IP address of the visitor’s computer, the operating system of the visitor’s computer, the browser version used on the visitor’s computer, the file name accessed, the date and time of the visit, the volume of data transferred, and the referring URL.
The data we store is analysed for statistical purposes only and not to identify a specific individual. The data may also be used to facilitate troubleshooting. IP addresses are deleted after no more than 72 hours.

Our website uses “cookies”, which are small pieces of text that are stored on your hard drive. Cookies are necessary to enable certain features of the service. You can disable the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that this may limit your use of our website. Cookies will not install or run any programs or other applications on your computer.

For the purposes of tailoring our website design, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We use the “_anonymizeIp()” script which ensures that your IP address is immediately anonymised by Google (after geolocation). We have also entered into a commissioned data processing agreement with Google as per section 11 of the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. For some web browsers, Google also offers opt-out add-ons which you can use to prevent the logging and analysis of your user behaviour.
